Leigh's Story

Our work at Healing Center for Animals, Earth Animal and Animal Nutrition Technologies was founded in 1979, by our dog Leigh, a Golden Retriever

We adopted Leigh from Guiding Eyes for the Blind, as he was rejected from the program, due to Hip Dysplasia. Leigh’s condition later progressed into a severe case of arthritis at the age of seven which crippled him. In an effort to heal Leigh, we changed his diet from a commercial food to a home cooked diet (similar to Dr. Harvey’s Premix) added vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to his meals and fed him fresh carrot, celery and apple juice during a routine weekly meal skip.

Leigh lived to be 17 years of age and was pain free and swam every day. We honor him as the founder of our work in Holistic and Integrative Veterinary Medicine and truly understand first hand why you love Golden’s so much.
