The following guidelines should be followed in an effort to minimize vaccine side-effects which may include: lethargy, seizures, allergic reactions such as rashes, tumor development at the site of the injection and occasional death:
Healthy Puppy or Kitten
Age 6 weeks to one year
Begin your veterinarians recommended vaccine program against common viruses such as K9-Distemper, DHL, Parvovirus, Rabies, Feline Distemper.
Spread each vaccine out at least 2-3 weeks between injections. Avoid the 3 in 1ís, the 5 in 1ís, etc.
Never vaccinate if your animal is not feeling up to par. Vaccinate only for those diseases which are potentially serious or life threatening.
Use Dr. Goldstein’s Vaccine Drops after each vaccine is given to minimize side effects. Administer for 10 days after each vaccine is given.
Age 1 year and up
Do not automatically vaccinate for any of the previous vaccines given without doing a Titer Test first. The Titer Test will indicate whether or not the antibodies are adequate from the previous vaccines, insuring on going immunity.
If vaccines are needed due to a weak titer test, vaccinate only against those viruses which are rampant in your area and which are serious or potentially life threatening. Always administer vaccine drops after each vaccine is given.
